Born in 1992 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, Deepak Chahar is the son of Lokendra Singh Chahar, a retired Indian Air Force personnel, and Pushpa Chahar, a homemaker. He has an elder sister named Malti Chahar, who is an actress in the Bollywood film industry.

During the last league-stage match of the 2021 Indian Premier League, Chahar proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj, and the couple tied the knot on June 1, 2022, in Agra.

Domestic Career

Early Career and First-Class Debut

Deepak Chahar made a stunning first-class debut in the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy, taking 8 wickets for just 10 runs against Hyderabad. Hyderabad’s innings came to an abrupt end after being bowled out for a paltry total of 21 runs, which still stands as the lowest total in Ranji Trophy history. This performance brought him into the limelight and earned him a youth contract with Rising Pune Supergiants, a Twenty20 cricket franchise in the Indian Premier League.
