He quickly rose to prominence and became one of the most successful agents in the NBA, representing high-profile clients such as Kobe Bryant, James Harden, and Andre Iguodala.

In 2017, the Los Angeles Lakers hired Pelinka as their General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations.
