The bacteria called Klebsiella pneumoniae was discovered by Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

They found that this dangerous bacteria, called Klebsiella pneumoniae, is a major cause of hospital-acquired infections.

They discovered that it forms a viscous protective coating around itself, which is one of the main reasons behind its high virulence and antibiotic resistance.

The research has been published in the journal Microbiology Spectrum and the study is being performed in collaboration with the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).

In addition, researcher has used genomics and molecular biology methods to identify new genes responsible for bacterial abilities.

The report by PTI stated that Klebsiella pneumoniae is one of the pathogens on the World Health Organization's priority list.

It is a significant cause of hospital-acquired diseases such as pneumonia, bloodstream infections, and ....

infections in ICU patients and neonates. Due to the bacteria's high virulence and antibiotic resistance, the management...

and treatment of Klebsiella pneumoniae has challenged the medical and scientific community worldwide.
