Virender Sehwag became the first Indian batsman to score a triple century in test cricket.

Virender Sehwag achieved the feat against Pakistan at Multan.

In the March 29, 2004, match, India opted to bat first and ended the first day of the Test with a score of 356/2 with Sehwag unbeaten on 228 runs.

On the second day of the match, Sehwag completed his triple century and became the first person in the history of cricket to score a triple century in Tests.

Along with this record, Sehwag also registered the highest score by an Indian batsman against Pakistan in Pakistan.

The second highest run scorer against Pakistan in Pakistan is Sanjay Manjrekar, who scored 218 runs in Lahore in 1989.

After scoring 309, Sehwag was eventually sent back to the pavilion by Mohammad Sami, helping India register a comfortable win.
