Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will on Sunday inaugurate Phase 2 of the Dinosaur Museum at the Balasinor Dinosaur Park in Gujarat's Raiyoli.

Paleontologists discovered fossil remains and bones in the village of Rayioli in the 1980s. The museum has been built at a cost of Rs 16.5 crore.

Since then, research has shown that about 65 million years ago, 13 species of dinosaurs lived in the region. The fossil park contains life-sized statues of those dinosaurs.

In the 1980s, fossils of a 65 million-old dinosaur were discovered in the Narmada river valley of Gujarat.

As a result, the dinosaur was named Rajasaurus Narmadensis, its first name because of a crest-like formation on its head.

The museum, whose phase-1 was inaugurated in 2019, features a 5-D theatre, digital forest, 360-degree....

virtual reality, experiment laboratory, semi-circulation project, 3D projection mapping, and hologram, etc.
