India’s first portable solar rooftop system, was inaugurated at the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple complex.

The temple located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The plug and play 10 PhotoVoltaic (PV) solar rooftop system designed by GIZ.

GIZ stands for German agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). 

The PV ports have been manufactured by the New-Delhi based Servotech Power Systems Limited(SPSL).

The system was designed for 100% self-consumption and no option for On-Grid installation.

The Portable PV solar system requires low maintenance and can be easily installed by a single person.

It has a long shelf life of 25-30 years.

The solar PV system can save average annual electricity bill upto Rs 24,000.
