World Environment Day is celebrated around the world on June 5 every year.
The aim of the day is to raise environmental awareness and motivate people to take steps to protect the environment.
The theme of World Environment Day 2022 is Only One Earth, focusing on "Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature".
The World Environment Day was celebrated for the first time in 1974.
