NABARD Current Affairs 2025 [January-September]

◾ The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is set to launch a Centralised Digital Credit Infrastructure (CDCI) for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) to enhance their competitiveness against Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs).

◾ The Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India has initiated the implementation of the Central Sector PACS Computerization Programme (CSPCP) to develop cooperatives as vibrant business enterprises and make Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) self-reliant in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. The implementation is in advanced stages in Nagaon district.

◾ Recently, PM of India inaugurated the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

◾ NDDB & NABARD Collaboration
✔️ National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) signed an MoU with NABARD to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in the dairy sector.
✔️ Focus: Using technical, financial, and implementation support.

◾ NABARD & Banks MoU
✔️ NABARD signed an MoU with State Bank of India (SBI) to strengthen rural development in Assam.
✔️ Objective: Boost rural financial initiatives and development projects.

◾ Financial Assistance by NABARD
✔️ NABARD extended Rs 5,830 crore in FY 2024-25 to Jharkhand for rural infrastructure development.

◾ Warehouse Infrastructure Fund (WIF) Achievement
✔️ Punjab completed all 137 sanctioned storage infrastructure projects under NABARD’s WIF.
✔️ Created storage capacity of over 29 lakh metric tonnes (MT), highest in India.

✔️ RITES Limited signed an MoU with NABARD Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (NABCONS).

◾ Rural Economic Conditions and Sentiments Survey (RECSS) July 2025
✔️ 76.6% of rural households reported an increase in consumption, showing consumption-led growth.

◾ RuralTech CoLab Launch
✔️ NABARD launched RuralTech CoLab, a unified portal for the rural tech start-up ecosystem.
✔️ Purpose: Promote innovation and co-create smart, scalable, and inclusive solutions in fintech, agritech, and digital services.

◾ Odisha Mango Initiatives
