◾ The National Capital Region (NCR) is set to host India’s first Disneyland Park, with the Haryana government proposing a 500-acre amusement and entertainment destination in Manesar. Currently, there are five Disneylands worldwide — in California, Florida (USA), Paris (France), Tokyo (Japan), and Hong Kong.
◾ The Chief Minister of Assam inaugurated India’s first-ever water technology park, named ‘Aqua Tech Park’, at Sonapur to enhance fish production and promote aquaculture-based livelihood opportunities in the state.

◾ Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP), Odisha
🔹 Tata Steel Special Economic Zone’s Gopalpur Industrial Park has been inducted into the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Transitioning Industrial Clusters Initiative.
🔹 This highlights GIP’s commitment to accelerating the shift towards net-zero emissions and sustainable industrial development.
◾ India’s First E-Waste Eco Park – Delhi
🔹 The Delhi Government is developing India’s first electronic waste (e-waste) eco park at Holambi Kalan, located in North Delhi.
🔹 This eco-park is designed to handle and process up to 51,000 tonnes of e-waste annually, promoting scientific recycling and green job creation.
◾ Crocodile Conservation Project – Odisha
🔹 India recently celebrated 50 years of the Crocodile Conservation Project (CCP), originally launched at Bhitarkanika National Park, Odisha.
🔹 The project was supported by UNDP and FAO and is a milestone in India’s wildlife conservation history.
🔹 World Crocodile Day 2025 was observed on June 17 with the theme “Connecting crocodiles and communities.”
◾ Rhino Rehabilitation in Dudhwa National Park, Uttar Pradesh
🔹 The Uttar Pradesh Government’s Department of Forest and Wildlife has sanctioned Rs 1.5 crore for establishing two new Rhino Rehabilitation Areas (RRA-3 and RRA-4).
🔹 These zones will be developed within Dudhwa National Park, situated in Lakhimpur Kheri, to enhance the conservation of the Indian rhinoceros.
◾ Salkhan Fossils Park – Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh
🔹 Salkhan Fossils Park, one of the world’s oldest known fossil sites, has been added to the UNESCO Tentative List of World Heritage Sites.
🔹 The park is located in Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, and is a geological treasure showcasing Precambrian marine fossils.

🔹 IBM and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited have partnered with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to deploy India’s largest quantum computer at the Quantum Valley Tech Park located in Amaravati.
◾ India’s First AI-Based Data Centre Park to Come Up in Nava Raipur:
🔹 The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has laid the foundation stone for India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based data centre park at Nava Raipur, marking a significant step in tech-driven infrastructure development.
◾ Jenu Kuruba Families Reoccupy Traditional Forest Homes in Nagarhole National Park:
🔹 The Jenu Kuruba tribal families have started reoccupying their ancestral forest dwellings located within Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka, highlighting a resurgence of traditional forest rights and conservation-linked livelihood.

◾ Kerala and Tamil Nadu will jointly conduct a Nilgiri Tahr census from April 24–27, 2025, to mark 50 years of Eravikulam National Park.
